Well, today is my first 'college' day in this term. Kind of excited because we already had a veeeery long time holiday and i was bored! I thought we were gonna start learning something today but unfortunately we weren't. Very dissapointing. Yes,you might think i'm so geeky. I don't mind. Geek is the latest trend and cool! (:
So,talking about my outfit today, I think a cute vintage top was such a good choice, and i just love its color. I got it from thrift store of course :p. Just paired it with my hi-waist pants and ta-daaa! You've got the first look for your first day in campus! Simple but really made my day :))
While i was doing an autism activity like always (you know, sitting in front my computer), i was opening Lookbook for some inspirations, and it got me into a young lady whose blog is recently being one of my most-frequently-read-blogs,Kani. Then i discovered her blog (K is for Kani), and that time i decided that she will be one of inspiring girls in my world. (Yes!) :)
Maybe some of you guys have heard about her. Well, Kani is not her real name actually. I guess she won’t let us know, but knowing about her and her style is just enough for now. So, i just wanted to let you know more about her. Unfortunately she doesn’t have time for interviews because of her business, but she let me writing a post about her and use some of her photos. That’s so kind. Thanks kani! :)
Having passion not only in fashion but also in graphic design and photography, makes her decided to start her blog so that she can share her passion with us and document it.
As an ordinary girl, she really has a great taste of vintage style that makes me adore her so much. The way she combines those lovely colors, the cute patterned dresses, the polka dot tights, and her headbands, i love it! It always turns into something pretty and intrigue me to be creative more and more. :D
This girl, who has a dream to own her own fashion label/store,just entered university last year in bachelor of commerce /bachelor of laws double degree (whoaa!). She also done pretty well in Visual Communication & Design last year that make her become the highest scorer in her high school! Ahh this is what 3B (brain, beauty, behaviour) means..
And FYI, she’s a Chinese (but actually was born in Australia) and now lives in Melbourne,Australia. Well,it’s not too far from here, i’m in Indonesia. Only take few hours to go there (by plane) haha. I was surprised when she said that she eat Indomie Instant Fried Noodles (Migoreng) too! Whoaa..
Well, i think that’s enough for today’s inspiring post. And for Kani, keep going on, girl! Keep posting and inspiring us! I always enjoy reading your blog though. :)
And oh! Don’t forget to visit her online vintage store and also see some of her creations here : Vintage with Kani & handmade store KANI
Adios!
First of all,do excuse me for my naughty pimple in some pictures above.Today I’m sharing my outfit that i wore yesterday when i went to church, worshipping with my family. I bought this dottie top last week when i was thrifting with my sister. Yeah,i’m going crazy everytime we went to the thrift stores. So many vintage stuff there and i just can’t help myself! And this top,you have no idea how much i love it! You can wear it as a top or an outerwear.I found it’s pretty cool especially when i wore it as an outerwear. You know, it gives a kind of layer effect. Awesome! And you know what, i think i’m currently a little bit obsessed with this Dottie thingy. So far i have bought 3 dotties top in different color : black, navy blue, and brown. Haha. Enough said.
